Ernesto Ramos Urías is an M&A and corporate lawyer based in Mexico City, on a mission to build the first truly AI-enabled law firm in Mexico. At Ramos Urías, Mr. Ramos Urías and his team are creating AI playbooks for specific types of corporate and commercial work, so the firm can work faster and closer to its clients' businesses.

Before founding Ramos Urías, Mr. Ramos Urías spent more than six years at Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, one of Mexico's leading transactional firms, working on the structuring, analysis and execution of over 100 M&A transactions, including multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, primary investments and joint ventures.

As lead associate, Mr. Ramos Urías advised on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding US$1.5 billion, including McCormick's controlling-stake joint venture with Grupo Herdez, General Atlantic's acquisition of a 49% stake in Grupo Águilas, Visa's proposed acquisition of a majority stake in Prosa, and Tekni-Plex's acquisitions of Seisa Medical and EMATEC.

Mr. Ramos Urías also teaches Corporations and Commercial Law as an adjunct professor at UNAM.
